The new Centre for Design Research at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO) invites you to this one day international research event. Entitled Communicating Design Research Elegantly, the conference brings together AHO, local and international researchers, designers, educators, students and project partners in research and design.
The main aim of the event is to present the research domains and methods that characterise the Centre for Design Research at AHO along with some of its broader design links. We’ll do this by way of talks, workshops and an exhibition.
As part of the day, we will draw on the Japanese short poetry form of haiku. This is a measured and compressed mode of articulation that accentuates clarity, concepts and elegance. We take up haiku to try to heighten our own sense and understanding of what it is that makes our research specifically design research. Overall, the conference aims to discuss how to better communicate design research by drawing on expertise and knowledge from both research and design practice.
