Design Research Seminar No.2 Autumn 2012
Seminar
- Time
- 3 September, 2012
- Location
- AHO
Our Design Research Seminars aim to enrich and assist research processes within the Centre. The Seminars will be held every second Monday during the autumn semester with a variety of themes, conceptual and methodological.
In the second research seminar Timo Arnall presented a “work in progress” paper related to his PhD project “Visual Design Approaches to Emerging Technology” , Touch project and design research mediation.
The panel, with Lise Amy Hansen as main commentator, discussed in depth structural issues, as well as the new challenges that appear within the “research by Design” articles. A core challenge on Arnall’s work is the multi-layered discussions that occur from the term “immaterials” and how a design researcher can present, communicate and mediate this as a cultural object.
