Custom design, more than custom to fit!
|Over the last years customizing products has been the talk of several trades, whether it is sneakers from Adidas and Nike or hearing aids from Siemens, not only those involved with rapid manufacturing but also those part of traditional consumer production. This paper discusses the beginning of a design methodology required to design custom fitted products with malleable aesthetic features whose boundaries are set by a designer. To some extent a design template is developed and tested. A case study with sunglasses is used as an example.|
