The AHO Research Review is an internally commissioned document from the School of Architecture and Design in Oslo (AHO) that presents a full picture of the research and teaching agendas and where those two platforms are integrated undertaken by the faculty and research fellows at this specialist university. The report focuses on 2014 through 2017, following from the last research report and a series of educational reviews conducted at AHO in 2013.
Through four interdisciplinary domains—architecture, architectural history, design, and urban planning and landscape—faculty and PhD research fellows at AHO produce an extensive body of academic research alongside research designs and public projects. The aim of this report is to provide an extensive review of that research, tacitly creating a new review framework that values the design-oriented making of the professional disciplines as equal to the traditional academic research output, while simultaneously raising awareness of AHO’s collective research profile internally and externally for local, national, and international audiences.
