AHO Bridge wins DNB Innovation prize

The use and development of ship simulators for design processes have been pursued in the Ulstein Bridge Concept (UBC) design research project for a while and we are steadily making progress. As part of our work we are pleased to present our paper «Towards a design simulator for offshore ship bridges» at the European Conference on Modeling and Simulation in Ålesund in may (ESCM). The paper is written by PhD candidate Helge Tor Kristiansen and Associate Professor Kjetil Nordby.
2nd Semester MA Service design students have been learning new territories in Service design through contributing to the research itself.
The Designlab for Social Innovation is a collaboration between Norsk Form and AHO. It aims to professionalise a new field of design for society through practice. It is working with real projects as ways to test new design methods and tools.
Ulstein Power and Control has won DnB’s regional innovation award for a bridge delivered by Ulstein Bridge Concept. This means they have qualified for the national final in March. The project is led by the Center for Design Research at AHO.
