In September Norsk Form put out a call for opinion articles taking up the relationship between the field of design and it’s role in society and public debate.
We responded to the call with an article that takes up how digital technologies now permeates and influence culture, society and everyday life on several levels, and how this must be understood as a result of design processes. Design is central in shaping the materials of technology into products and services that people use in their everyday lives. We argue that design should be more prominent in discussions and in development of strategies that relate to technological use on a societal scale.
You can read the article "Å formgi en digital framtid"
online at Dagbladet and a short interview with us at
Norsk Form (both only in Norwegian).
