Ulstein Bridge Concept won prize

Ulstein Power and Control has won DnB’s regional innovation award for a bridge delivered by Ulstein Bridge Concept. This means they have qualified for the national final in March. The project is led by the Center for Design Research at AHO.

– We feel very proud to have received this award. We have had a fantastic team of researchers, designers and engineers working closely with Ulstein Power & Control to produce a unique solution, explains Kjetil Nordby at AHO.

– The project is part of AHO’s strategic commitment to the marine and offshore industry and is a great example of the important role design research plays in industrial innovation processes, says rector Karl Otto Ellefsen.

The price is 200 000 Norwegian kroner. If the project were to win the final in March, Ulstein Bridge Concept could go home with 1 million kroner.
