About the project
The goal of this PhD-project is to develop frameworks and practices within design research that support early-phase exploration and shaping of emerging technologies.
Central research questions: How do practices within interaction design allow for exploration and shaping of new and emerging technologies? How do theories of design account for these kinds of practices, and what kinds of knowledge are used and built in this process?
Analytical frames: Exploratory design, interaction design, critical design, visual theory, actor network theory, design culture.
Methods: Practice-based design processes including prototyping, visual design, filmmaking and use of social media, reflection on action, literature review, theoretical modelling of design.
