Biography
Anders-Petter Andersson is a researcher in the RHYME project at AHO. He is a sound designer, musicologist and associate professor at NTNU Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Faculty of Architecture and Design, Department of Design. In his PhD thesis “Interactive Music Composition” at Gothenburg University in Sweden, he discusses how one can compose musically satisfying sound for games and interactive applications. Music where the listening role is complex, as the listener participates and alters the composition. Since 2000, with knowledge from improvisation and musicking, he develops composition techniques for tangible and interactive environments in the group for interactive Art, MusicalFieldsForever.
Anders-Petter founded the BA programme in Interactive Sound Design, Kristianstad University, combining music and computers; where he also held a Postdoc position, exploring interactive music for health with persons with dementia. He is member of the Swedish National Centre for Culture and Health at the University of Gothenburg, promoting cultural perspectives and approaches to health, care and welfare research in Sweden. He teaches Interaction Design, Interactive Music and Internet-of-Things at master and bachelor levels at NTNU in Gjøvik.
